Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To recover them, follow the instructions below.
1. First Backup your old firefox profile folder
2. Goto > Help >Troubleshooting Information > Click on ” Show folder “( left side)
3. Copy “bookmarkbackups” folder
4. Copy latest bookmarksbackup.jsonlz4 file from bookmarkbackups folder , on desktop
3. Open your mozilla firefox and Goto –
>2.Show All bookmarks
>3.Import and backup
>6. choose ..jsonlz4 file and Click open
Firefox automatically creates a backup copy of your bookmarks inside the “bookmarkbackups” folder (found under Firefox’s profile folder). Inside “bookmarkbackups” folder, you can find several files
Everyday we find a lot of useful sites on the web and we bookmark some or all of them. These favorite (bookmarked) sites are important so it is essential that, as we back up our list of favorites (bookmarks), so that we can restore them in case of delete bookmarks
It’s a good habit to save your bookmarks in HTML file every time you delete some, or add a new one.
To do so follow these short steps:
Go into Bookmark > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup.
Then instead of choosing “Import Bookmarks from HTML” as above, click on Export Bookmarks to HTML.
Click on Documents (if you are not already there) and save your bookmarks in HTML file.
The file should be already there created by Firefox.
Every time you update your bookmarks you save them by overwriting this file.
If you do it regularly you will have the most updated bookmarks.
